The Festival of Sport takes place against the stunning backdrop of St. Michael's Mount, Cornwall from 14th - 16th September 2012. With a range of world class mass participation sporting events, live music, festival fun, beach sports and children's activities as well as high quality food from Jamie Oliver's Fabulous Feasts and drink from St. Austell Brewery, the Festival of Sport promises to be a brilliant weekend for everyone.

The core sports have distances for all abilities and are made up of triathlon, sportive cycling, a women-only Cycletta, open-water swimming and beach running.  Why not enter more than one sport; the itinerary is designed to allow this.

Competitors entering any one of the core sports can enjoy the 'have-a-go' beach sports and all the festival fun for free, as well as being able to purchase discounted Festival Passes for friends and family.

Where is the Festival of Sport?

The Festival takes place in the historic market town of Marazion looking across to St. Michael's Mount and the stunning West Cornwall coast. Some of the Festival's main features are:

• The swim course is in the sheltered sea waters around St Michael's Mount.

• Mount's Bay beach hosts the beach runs and a full schedule of beach sports.

• The cycling takes place on amazing coastal roads with stunning views and the sportives go along the scenic Cornish coastline to Land's End and around Cape Cornwall.

• The triathlon takes in some stunning views starting in the sea below the Mount, before a beautiful coastal bike route and a closed road run through the historic market town of Marazion.

• The Festival Hub will be buzzing with entertainment with the Castle on the Mount in the background.
